But Power indicator was slowing blinking (on/off). That made me worry. In DLink DSL 2750u if the power indicator turned red that means you are in recovery mode. I had no idea what and how recovery/rescue mode worked in Asus RT-N66U, but here I was, almost convinced although I didn’t want my thoughts to be actually true, that my router was now in recovery mode as the POWER indicator was blinking and I thought may be this behavior (of blinking) is equivalent to DLink DSL 2750u power indicator turning red.

Now, this is a tricky part and really the part where you just need to trust me and hundreds of other people out there on the internet who have shared their experiences.

When you upgrade using the utility, not everything will be shiny and super easy as shown in this video

Instead, most probably, and I am saying most probably (not always), you will see that it uploads the firmware file, then the progress bar gets to 100% BUT then says failed to upload or it gives error that the router is not in rescue mode or something like that. Now here you need to stay put, or I would say, just leave your computer and router alone, turned on and as it is for may be an hour or till the time the router itself restarts and all general indicators (Power, LAN port indicator, Wireless indicator, etc.) turn up and behave normally as they should do as if the router is functioning normally and not in rescue mode.

I am currently going through CS50x course delivered by David J. Malan from Harvard University. However when trying to install custom VM Appliance given by CS50 course staff which is custom built for students taking CS50 course, I stumbled across a few issues one of them is:

Could not mount the media/drive '/Applications/VirtualBox.app/Contents/MacOS/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' (VERR_PDM_MEDIA_LOCKED)"

when trying to install VirtualBox Guest Additions

And this is what worked for me:

First, ensure all VMs are turned off, then click on Settings > Storage and remove the CD / DVD device under the heading Controller: IDE and then add it back (see screenshot below)

Once I added back the CD / DVD device, and then started the Appliance, selected Install Guest Additions... from Device menu, I was successfully able to install Guest Additions on my appliance.

I hope this helps you guys. If there is anything else that worked for you, please do post it in comments below so that others can benefit from it.

I must agree that first time users can find Google Analytics really overwhelming if they aren't used to any analytics tools at all. I am too a beginner in the world of web analytics although in the past I have worked for a startup organisation that is behind a popular A/B Testing tool called Visual Website Optimizer and has some functionalities similar to that of Google Analytics but I still believe I do not have a systemic knowledge of Analytics and how they work. As a result of this, I embarked on a journey to learn about Analytics using Google Analytics Academy free online courses.

During the fundamentals course, I got stuck with trying to delete a property of my Test account inside by Google Analytics account and hence a little bit of research into it revealed, actually there's no button that says "DELETE PROPERTY". In order to delete a property, you have to actually delete all the views inside that property.

Just before I show the steps to delete property, as a word of caution, please be aware properties and views once deleted cannot be recovered.

So here are the steps as follows:

Sign in to your Analytics account. Click Admin in the menu bar at the top of any Analytics page.

In the Account drop-down, select the account from which you want to delete a property.

Now in the Property drop-down, select the property that you want to delete.

For each view present under the selected property, go to View Settings and click on Delete View link present in the extreme right bottom of Report View Settings page

Repeat this for each view under that property.

Once all the views are deleted, voila! property is gone!!

Google has some of the amazing services when it comes to staying protected from hackers and preventing your account from being accessed illegitimately by "internet thieves".

2 Step Verification

2 Step Verification is a service that allows Google users to add an extra layer of authentication. Every time you login on a computer where you haven't logged before or where the cookies were cleared after your last login, it will ask you to enter a six digit code that you can receive through sms / call on your phone. Google doesn't charge anything for this service.

The other way you can receive codes is through Google Authenticator. Google Authenticator once configured on your iOS, Android, Blackberry device will let you access codes for free as many number of times as many you want to and is also completely independent of internet connectivity. What that means is, once Google Authenticator is installed and configured, you can use it even without an internet connection.

To enable 2 Step verification, just visit accounts.google.com and sign in to your account, once signed in, on the left side bar click on Security. On the Security page, ensure that your Notification and Recovery settings are correctly updated because if something goes wrong, you will be given information via these email and phone numbers if you want to recover your account.
This is important generally even if you do not want to use 2 Step Verification.

Once done, scroll down to 2 Step Verification section and click on Edit

As you click on Edit it might ask you to verify your login credentials. once done, it will confirm your mobile number and turn on 2 Step Verification.

After you have enabled 2 Step Verification you can open a different browser and try to access your Google Account and you will notice it asks for verification code as you login, the verification code will be sent to your registered mobile number through sms, if you do not receive sms you can demand a call on your phone by clicking the link provided below the space where you have to enter the verification code.

I have created a quick video explaining the above process, Check it out below:
If like me, you are sick of having iPhoto open automatically each time you connect your iOS device, here is a quick and easy way on how you can stop that from happening again.

To prevent iPhoto from launching automatically, open Image Capture software on your Mac that comes pre-installed with OS X.

On the Image Capture window, make sure you have selected "No Application" from the drop-down.
Hey all,

Thanks for stopping by to read this post.

To backup your iOS device, first of all open iTunes (I am using a Mac for this blog but it works exactly same even if you are on Windows).

Once you have opened iTunes on your laptop, connect your iOS device to your laptop / computer. If you've already configured your iOS device with your iTunes, it will directly start syncing your iOS device (see screenshot below)

<screenshot 1=""></screenshot>
Then you need to click on iPad on the top right side of iTunes window

<screenshot 2=""></screenshot>
As you click on that button, you will be shown a screen similar to this

<screenshot 3=""></screenshot>
Now choose whether you want to backup on iCloud or on your local computer and
Click on the "Back Up now"

The status bar on the top will change to something like this

This means that the backup has started and is now in progress.

When the backup is in progress, you can of course continue to use your iTunes as usual.

If you happen to encounter any errors, feel free to post them in comments section. I will try to respond to them with an appropriate solution as early as possible.
Just upgraded Google Maps on my iPad 4 (Retina Display), this new version suprisingly not only supports iPad but is also optimized to take advantage of the large iPad Screen, it changes its orientation automatically and looks much much much better than how it did a couple of days back when it was basically just a stretched version of Google Maps for iPhone.

You can access Google Maps for iPad on iTunes App Store.
Apart from being optimized for iPad here are the other features / changes introduced in Google Maps 2.0
A quickie on how to disable the "Typing" notification (shown in image below) in Skype?

This notification (typing symbol) is shown in a group chat or to the person with whom you are chatting while you are typing a message in chat window. Recently I realised it can be sometimes helpful to not show this typing notification to avoid being asked "Hey, what were you typing?"

There's a super simple way to do this, all you need to do is go to your Skype Preferences and highlight the Messaging tab and then un tick (de-select) the second last option that says "Show when I am typing".

Once disabled, there will be no "Typing" notifications shown to the users when you are typing in a Skype chat window.

Google Reader has now been discontinued. It was discontinued on 1 July 2013 and according to Google

All Google Reader subscription data (eg. lists of people that you follow, items you have starred, notes you have created, etc.) will be systematically deleted from Google servers. You can download a copy of your Google Reader data via Google Takeout until 12PM PST July 15, 2013.

Downloading Google Reader data is quite straight forward, all you need to do is visit this link to Google Takeout and you will see a page that shows the downloadable Reader data creation

Once it is done (ie. it shows 100% as in above image), click on Create Archive button and it will start creating archive, the process generally takes a few seconds to a minute maximum. Once done, you will see a window like this:

Simply click on Download button and download the zip file that contains your Reader data. Once downloaded, unzip it (by simply double clicking on it). Once the data has been unzipped, the file named "subscriptions.xml" is the one that needs to be uploaded on to third party reader websites when they ask for OPML file to import your data.

One awesome service that I just started using today and found it really satisfactory so far is: Feedly.

However, you must hurry up with this simple process of downloading your Google Reader data as the data is only available for download till Jul 15 2013, 12 PM PST after which the data will be deleted from Google's servers and will be no longer available for download.

Countdown has begun!!

Last night I was wondering if there was a way I could login to my personal Skype account while I was already logged into my another official Skype account. I really like to keep my personal and official Skype accounts separate for obvious reasons of course.

After a quick google search for "Multiple logins Skype Mac" I stumbled upon skype community as one of the top search results where users have spoken about running more than one instance of an application. They used Terminal (Mac's command line interface) to do so.

Here's a quick step by step procedure on how to do it (or at least how I did it):

Open your Terminal window (just open spotlight and type Terminal or go to Utilities and click Terminal)

In the terminal Type: cd /Applications/Skype.app/Contents/MacOSThis will change your "pwd" (Present working directory to the above mentioned path.

Once you are in that directory, then type sudo ./Skype make note of that period (.) before /Skype that is intentional and not by mistake.

If it asks for your password, enter your system password (nothing will appear (no asterisks or any symbols) as you type password but the password is being taken in as you type it)

Once done, a new Skype login window will open and the Terminal screen would look something similar to this:

You can now go ahead and close the Terminal window. Skype session should continue as normal and you can go ahead and login to your another Skype account.

Please drop in comments of your experiences or if you had any issues while following the above procedure or even if you just wanna say Thank You :D

So recently, I happened to purchase a new iPad Retina Display from an online store called flipkart.com which is a very famous online store and quite known for its reliable and quality service.

I have been using flipkart.com for quite sometime especially after I had used too much of Amazon.com in the UK, I got really addicted to shopping online after a ton of research and even going in "brick & mortar" store to just test the product but then buy it online for the reason of cheaper price.

However, this is the first time I bought something with EMI (Equated Monthly Installments) as flipkart.com has some offers on certain products where they do not charge any processing fees or interest on EMI option of payment.

All you do is, divide the exact price of the product into 3, 6, 9 or 12 pieces and pay each piece (of total price) every month.

However, this option is only available on credit cards (not all of them!) and not on debit card or general bank accounts, meaning you can't use net banking option or debit cards option if you desire to buy a product on EMI.

So how exactly does EMI work?

When you choose to make payment using EMI option, you put in your credit card details and make the payment in normal fashion, you would even receive sms alert (if you had subscribed for) from your bank that you have been charged for the full amount, however that full amount is not CHARGED instead your credit limit is blocked for that much amount, and each month you make the EMI payment, you limit would be "released", i.e. available for use corresponding to that amount.

So lets take an example, (assuming 0% interest rate)
Before the transaction:
Available Credit Limit: $1000
Cost of product purchased: $350
Purchased at EMI of 10 months.

Hence right after the transaction is made,
(assuming you didn't make any other purchases apart from that one product for $350)
Available Credit Limit: $650 [$1000 - $350]
Amount to pay by next due date: $35 (1st of 10 EMIs)

Once you have paid $35 by the due date,
Available Credit Limit: $685 [$650 + $35]

Hence each month your credit limit releases as the payment is made towards your EMI.

This system is in a way good for several reasons,

There isn't any interest to be paid at all.

Cash remains in your hand for those purchases where credit cards are not accepted (there are tons of such things in India and other developing countries)

Even if you don't use cash for other purchases, it brings you interest in your bank account (deposit account) this is where the concept of discounting comes in where you discount future value to a valid rate of interest to bring it to present value, but thats way too much ahead and doesn't really needed for this topic

It builds your credit history as you keep making timely payments, and hence improves your credibility to the banks and financial institutions which you deal with, for example, it might help you reduce your mortgage payments whenever you next time remortgage your house / property.

However there are disadvantages to it as well...

Some people just lack the discipline of making timely payments.

(May be the most obvious one!) People go on a spending spree and do careless spending which goes far beyond their budget and then end up in credit card debts and so on.

The hassle of remembering to make monthly payments (does not apply if you have setup a standing order instruction or direct debit from your bank account)

A single non-payment could result in a long time mark on your credit history as an arrear / default, even if that was a missed payment by mistake / unintentional

So if you relate yourself more towards the advantages, look out for these EMI options at your local store or on several online stores or even on your credit card provider's website, however if you relate yourself to disadvantages a lot more than you do to the advantages, refrain for the time being from using EMI payment option and instead first ensure you are disciplined enough with your credit card payments.

Having lived in London for over 2 years during my international education in Chartered Accounting (through ACCA) and keen interest in pure Tech and business aspects of Tech, I used to spend a lot of time in Campus London at Bonhill Street in London.

I am now done with my education and back in India, in my home city of Ahmedabad.

Just started learning some new courses on internet through MOOCs and have been looking for some good place to just sit and do my work as well as learn new stuff as well as network with other professionals and may be plan out a startup in IT such as an App Development business.

However, there is an acute shortage of such places in Ahmedabad, its only Cafes that are the places for such meetings and considering the size of cafes (number of seats), it just isn't a viable option to sit in Cafe for the whole day and plan out business or share / discuss knowledge or learn new stuff and develop new skills that could help in a future business careers for young minds.

Besides, there are no places for get togethers, for seminars, for meetings, for documentary screenings and so on..

I went to British Library near Law Garden in Ahmedabad and I was told that they are not even allowing taking in Laptop at the sitting places as of now as there is a "HUGE DEMAND" for that facility and so as they allow that they are like to face too much of crowd and no sitting space at all, in fact the manager, Mr. Kulkarni, clearly told me that he had seen times when professionals and students were sitting on ground near the book shelves with their laptops and that was something they didn't find comfortable and so they completely stopped allowing laptops inside the British library, Ahmedabad.

Such is the demand and here people don't expect services to be free of cost, they are actually willing to pay membership fees for services like that, for WiFi, for cool ambiance, for seminars, for meetings and so on. For example, British Library in London is a free place to sit and study or just roam around or even use internet, but here in India, British Libraries charge a good amount for yearly memberships which are divided into several different packages depending on number of books / DVDs/ Music CDs etc one wants to borrow on a monthly / weekly basis.

Hence it could not only be a great social service to provide a good place to sit and work on great business ideas but also a viable business plan for any organisation / investor.

Specially considering the fact there are no such places at the moment, any move in this direction would mean immensely successful.

There is a group called Google Developers Group (GDG) Ahmedabad, they arrange seminars, learning events and even competitions, the latest of them was Google Mapathon and because they don't have any resident place they keep looking out for hotel conference rooms in various parts of Ahmedabad and not only is that a issue but also that it doesn't allow like minded people to meet regularly, it only facilitates for that one day of meeting after which there is no proper place for all those great minds to come again together and work collaboratively on something.

Great developments, successful businesses, amazing innovations are all a continuous thing and not just a one of event which lasts for just 2 days a month or so.

If someone is willing to assist me setup a place like Google Campus in Ahmedabad, India, please do contact me via this blog in comments section or my LinkedIn Profile or through my Twitter handle.

And Google, if you or any other big corporations are reading this, please do think over it, any progress towards this end would be highly appreciable and we will actually be quite thankful for that.

Google is all set to FOOL people with its several "April Fool" day ventures, here are few I have come across so far:

Google Nose (beta):

Google says, Smelling is Believing!

Go ahead and smell it by clicking on "Try Google Nose" and let us know how you get on with it.

Another one,

Youtube is shutting down:

Here's the official video to confirm the same, the video features several video stars who have made some of the most watched videos and uploaded on youtube along with several of Google's own staff.

The video has already attracted almost 400K views on youtube.com and the video is uploaded by several other users as well on several sites.

And one more....

Introducing Gmail Blue

All blue everything blue, even the letters, the italics, buttons every single thing goes blue RIGHT OVERNIGHT!

I would say, Google nose was probably much more believable than Gmail Blue.

Some people even believed youtube shutting down as compared to GMail Blue.

Since 1st March 2013, I have gotten busy learning coding on Codecademy.com and not only have I started learning to code, but I have also started posting my codes in Codecademy Forums as well as on My Wordpress Blog.

Why I chose wordpress instead of blogger to start this new blog?

I don't know, I just find wordpress somewhat cleaner and simple in terms of looks and feel. Its like iOS in the world of Mobile Operating Systems in comparison to blogger which is more like Android in the world of mobile operating system.

While one gives you utmost control over your blog and its inside elements (blogger.com), the other (wordpress.com) just keeps things simple and efficient rather than focusing on giving you a great deal of options to do one particular thing.
People have told me to try wordpress instead of blogger for quite some time as I like to blog about things, but I have always ignored and stayed upon with blogger. Now I am with blogger but also with wordpress to try and evaluate how things work there in comparison to blogger.

Coming back to our topic....

If you want to post source code on a wordpress blog, this is what you need to use:
your code here
the Language element

"css"

could be any of the below mentioned languages:

The language (or lang) parameter controls how the code is syntax highlighted. The following languages are supported:

actionscript3

bash

clojure

coldfusion

cpp

csharp

css

delphi

erlang

fsharp

diff

groovy

html

javascript

java

javafx

matlab (keywords only)

objc

perl

php

text

powershell

python

r

ruby

scala

sql

vb

xml

If the language parameter is not set, it will default to "text" (no syntax highlighting).

Code in between the source code tags will automatically be encoded for display, you don't need to worry about HTML entities or anything.

How a website looked at a particular date in history

How Google.com looked like on 8 Feb 1999

Found a cool website that allows you to look how a website looked in history. This web archive website crawls over 420,000,000 websites and creates snapshots over several times a day.

It then puts the snapshots in a nice calendar type grid which looks something like this,

The more the number of snapshots on any particular day, the more denser the blue sphere on any given day, upon moving the cursor to the blue area, it gives list of snapshots at different times of the day

There are some drawbacks though, not all the websites are crawled by the Wayback Machine.

For example, facebook.com is not crawled by Wayback Machine due to its Robots.txt file.

So what are you waiting for, go try out your favourite website on WayBack Machine and see how it looked back in past, probably when most of the teenagers were either young enough to use a website or were not even born yet!

Have fun!

The loss of triple A credit rating has started showing some really adverse things for Britain as early as in past 2 days.

UK pound touched a 2 and a half year low of 1.5073 (1.50772) against US dollar on Sunday, 24 Feb 2013, 22:00 UTC. Undoubtedly the downgrade of credit rating is showing its effects big time, however the even worse may be yet to appear, as other credit rating agencies have formed a negative sight on UK at this moment.

Source: XE.com

Britain's "highly-abled" ministers are pushing harder and harder on austerity measures, and Mr. Osborne keeps saying that "The credit rating is an important benchmark but it is just one benchmark."

There are also blames on banks across the United Kingdom for not facilitating proper growth due to improper or reduced lending that is not allowing companies to grow and ignite growth in the economy through more jobs.

While this all might seem true, but on a personal opinion, it still stands non understandable as though why exactly is Britain seeing what it is facing today, the bankers are still earning tremendously huge bonuses, for sure much much larger than annual household incomes of a middle class family in the UK at this moment,.

Lets discuss the impact on overall UK's economy due to the immigration policies and ever face turning companies that are going on closing their offices in the Britain in search for a better and politically as well as economically stable country to set up their offices and their workforce.

While Britain has been turning off immigration routes for students, highly skilled migrants and professionals by announcing more stricter immigration rules and policies, it seems to have been failing to understand the impact on the overall finances of the country as a result of this introduction of newer stricter measures that seem to be rather backfiring on the UK and its ministers.

THE VICIOUS CIRCLE - BRITAIN IS FALLING INTO

Britain has a system that pays those who are needy, something called Benefits, these are tax benefits, job seeker allowances, child benefits, disability benefits and so on... in recent times as unemployment is growing, there have been probably more job seeker allowances claims, and claims for all other kind of benefits, while government can try and reduce these benefits in various categories but overall the number of claims are rising at an alarming speed.

The money that is paid for these claims, on a very broad-level comes from the tax-payer's pockets, these people are mostly the middle class people who earn and pay taxes every year on whatever their earn, mostly through PAYE system and hundreds of thousands through direct tax payments to HMRC.

If companies are closing their offices, shutting down their branches that are based in the UK, there is likely to be less number of jobs available out in the market, the more lesser these jobs become, the less is the income generated by those who used to pay tax, and so the less they pay tax now.

Not only do they pay less tax, but because they are losing jobs or are earning less than what they used to earn, they find ways to claim more benefits from their local councils to be able to maintain their living standard or at least be able to survive with their needs.

HERE BEGINS THE VICIOUS CIRCLE;

What more, as these international students who used to turn up to the UK for education start ditching UK in favour of other nations (obviously due to worse and worsening immigration policies), universities start losing millions of pounds in income, which means hundreds of thousands of tax collected by HMRC is vanishing away over night, not only is the tax vanishing away, but also the jobs, the professors / lecturers / admin staff / IT Staff / security staff / office peons and office boys and so on who were previously employed by these institutes / colleges and universities are now losing their jobs as these education bodies don't have enough students to be able to pay salaries to their existing number of staff, and so even these private institutes and education bodies are doing spending cuts internally.

This again means more claims for benefits and less taxes earned by the government.

Now this was just the part of students, lets think of professionals, more professionals are leaving the UK due to various reasons, some are unable to renew their visa, many are leaving as their companies are closing UK operations and many are leaving as their loved ones can't stay in the UK anymore due to increased immigration restrictions, UNOFFICIALLY, on a ratio (relative) basis the number of illegal immigrants to legal immigrants is at all times high, thanks to the wonderful immigration policy.

This means, illegal immigrants who live by CASH, earn and spend in cash are increasing, such activities is taking off money from the books of the UK banks as they normally send money to overseas (to their families and loved ones) through HAWALA (Black money transfers), I am sure we all are aware of street side money transfer service, that take cash and for a very little fees transfer that cash to any part of the world in as less as few hours time.

On the other hand, the legal immigrants who were earning legally, were getting paid on a legal basis and were hence paying full taxes every near are now going off the UK - this is another loss of tax income for the UK.

ENTREPRENEURS VISA:

These all are the losses that we "MAY" be able to quantify, but what about the losses of brains and creative minds, those recent qualified ones and the fresh graduates that have great business minds but are unable to secure any visas to stay in the UK as they either don't have enough money to invest, can't convince some investor to invest for them or for Entrepreneurial visa route or other various reasons that you and I could probably not even imagine...

Entrepreneurs section on the internet in various social media platforms and websites clearly suggests that the businesses that are starting up these days, specially those that are technology oriented businesses are hardly in need of any seed investment in the initial phase.

These businesses are thriving with amazingly low up front investments, thanks to availability of huge high scale technology made available to each of us these days through the internet.

Lets take example of a developer, a developer often builds something on his / her laptop, tries to sell it online and offline to people and if its a hit that one software / app makes a big time success for that developer, these apps could be anything and everything.

Hundreds and thousands of such apps that have made developers millionaires out of nothing are on sale in various apps stores like Windows / Mac / iOS / Android / Blackberry and so on..

Such successes are laundering around on the internet these days, mostly due to freely available education and access to internet to young teenagers these days.

These kids are using their creativity at their best to come up with something that is amazingly low investment or sometimes no other investment except a laptop and an internet connection and they create a giant success out of thin air just by their creativity.

Now may be UK's government officials are not competent enough to understand the process that goes in developing such softwares or mobile applications or web applications but they must at least be aware that requiring at least £50K as an initial available funds for getting an entrepreneur visa is just ridiculously awful as that much investment is often not even given up by venture capitalists very easily, they scrutinise a hell lot before agreeing to such investments.

These all and other similar stuff that often creates headache in any sane person's mind is hard to digest that the UK government and those who decide policies are not able to understand.

All that I have mentioned in this article is purely a piece of my own opinion.

D L Shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08209313316132287156noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7830539123898679136.post-34281539970664815592013-02-25T21:15:00.003+05:302013-02-25T21:15:39.737+05:30How to: Change Background / Text Color on all webpages

Its a tough thing when it comes to reading some large piece of text on a super bright screen with white background and black coloured text.

There are several ways available now to change the background color and text color in individual applications, such as kindle app, Adobe Reader, etc.

However, I often happen to read articles, news, etc. online on the internet directly through the web, instead of download pdf newspapers / magazines / etc. After I started reading for long hours, I happened to feel strain on my eyes due to so much white light on the screen. I often tried reducing the brightness of the screen, but that didn't do any good either, as that would actually make text less readable hence, I would need to put more pressure on my eyes trying to understand the text on the screen.

A quick search on the internet, gave me a extension on Chrome Web Store for Google Chrome browser called CHANGE COLORS.

This small extension simply inverts the colors and changes text, background and http links to whatever you desire.

This is what Guardian.co.uk looks after I applied this extension to work on my Google Chrome Browser

The settings are quite straight forward, just click and select whatever color you wish to for background, text and hyper links. the extension can be obtained directly from Chrome Web Store.

This makes text super readable on the internet and undoubted one of the best and super helpful extension out there on the internet, feels a lot less strain on eyes and could read for much longer times than earlier on my laptop.
Even better, its a chrome extension, and so it would work on all platforms hence, no worries about what operating system you are onto.

Twitter has raised to further heights and this time, it is a matter of a new life. Moments of how a new born enters into this world would go live on twitter tomorrow.

Whether you call it a technology boom or anything you wish, this could mean a lot for those family members who are unable to physically attend the 'would be' mother at the hospital during the birth time.

Women’s Memorial Hermann Hospital at Memorial City Medical Center will take the public into the OR to reveal what happens during a Caesarean section (C-section) and provide a glimpse into one family’s miracle of birth during a live Twittercast (@houstonhospital) and hashtag #MHbaby

The identity of the 39 year old mother who agreed for this event will remain undisclosed

This is Twitter’s first live surgical birth and viewers can follow through the birthing process, from pre-admission testing and anesthesia to the first surgical incision and delivery of the baby. Live, up-close video, still photography and play-by-play tweets will inform and educate the public along the way.

Definitely this is going to be very useful for families when it comes to becoming aware of what the normal surgery process is and this being one of the most common operations that women go through during birth process, this would also educate them and remove the fear of not being aware of the process before actually going through the process.

Obstetrician Anne Gonzalez will be assisted by Dr. Amelia Chu, who will wear a GoPro head camera to give followers a live-streaming surgeon's-eye view of the procedure. Obstetrician and gynecologist Sherri Levin, meanwhile, will answer followers' questions and explain what's happening during the operation.

For men, who are expecting their child or even just for educative purposes, this would be a truly life changing experience, as they would be actually able to witness the surgery live with explanations to procedures during the operation.

Do let us know what you think of this live broadcast of Caesarean section in comments below.

Today I finally decide to let out my thoughts on what Britain has been upto lately when it comes to international students (not just Indian Students).

I studied in Britain for a period of over 2 and half years, started my ACCA education at Kaplan Financial in London in Aug 2010 and finished my ACCA qualification by Dec. 2012.

It took me 2 years and I passed all my ACCA exams in first attempt with highest scores amongst all other Kaplan Financial International Students in one subject, and also featured in ACCA Student Accountant Magazine - Jan 2012 issue.

However, in April 2012, months before I achieved my graduation degree, UK closed its post study work visa route and hence I was unable to secure a work visa at the end of my education. In lieu of Post Study Work visa, UKBA announced other work visa routes and entrepreneur's visas for those who want to work in the UK.

Now I am at this time, sitting jobless, applied on several hundreds of jobs so far, still haven't secured any job offer whatsoever, thanks to UK and its stupid immigration policies.

However when it comes to work visa, under the current Tier 2 (General) route, maximum number of applicants allowed in one UK financial year is 20,700 skilled workers if your salary is below £150,000 and there is no cap if your salary is at least £150,000.

But here comes the catch, your "would be" employer needs to give you a Certificate of Sponsorship and this job offer can only be for a skilled job that CANNOT BE FILLED BY A SETTLED WORKER.

Now in order to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship to a migrant (non-EU candidate), the employer has to complete a RESIDENT LABOUR MARKET TEST. This is the test that is designed to prove that there is no suitable settled worker who can do the job.

The exemption to this RESIDENT LABOUR MARKET TEST is when the job being offered to a migrant is one of those mentioned on the SHORTAGE OCCUPATION LIST.

Unfortunately, it seems government is least bothered to update this list, and this list as of current time (7:15 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2013 GMT), the list is not downloadable.

This is just a few of what employers are going through when it comes to employing migrants.

Apart from this, for those small firm owners who don't even have a sponsorship license, they need to apply for the license the procedure for which is again a bit cumbersome and employers are just not willing to do it considering the current economic conditions. Employers want to save as much as they can and don't really want to give out anything to Government, even in terms of getting a sponsorship license.

After these all restrictions, if David Cameron says, he is welcoming Indian students, even after his completely opposite "hate britain" speech towards other poor EU countries which David Cameron is scared of if they all start pumping in Britain endlessly, it all is just a scam.

He doesn't want Indian Students, he has already kept super tight regulations on securing a job offer in the Britain for international applicants and then he wants Indian students, that shows all he wants them is for money. Universities are shutting down, several years worth of professors in reputed colleges are suddenly becoming job less and going on starting their own businesses outside Britain (at least that is what I witnessed with a few Kaplan Financial's most senior tutors), and Britain is consistently and gradually dying.

This all speech about Indian students, professionals and investors are welcomed to Britain is simply for the benefit of the UK not Indians or any other international students, professionals, because Britain has vested interests in securing fighter jets deal that currently India seems to have been putting in favour of France, Britain wants to have its brands being sold in the Indian Markets, it wants to expand its super store chains and other consumer business in the India, because earning from India and other developing countries is what it is eyeing for as it is becoming completely empty from within with so many scandals, super huge bank bonuses, political dramas, EU crisis, etc etc.

I have myself been an international student and studied in the UK for years and successfully completed and graduated from one of the world's most reputed universities and professional body (ACCA - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), I would whole heartedly recommend to all my readers and fellow students, be careful. Britain at this time is not welcoming you at all, all they want is your money.

You have no job prospects and you have no career prospects at the end of your education. It would be much better to first get a job offer and then go on getting education which could be completely sponsored by your employer.
For eg. Graduate Programmes in the UK are on a rise and they are hiring international applicants (at least they are accepting applications) and once hired by them they pay for your professional qualification and give you salary as well.

Don't go to the UK purely on the basis of full time student, that will land you no where and I have seen and experienced that, for a person like me who belongs to a middle class family, that was a heart wrecking situation that I am still dealing with and yet to overcome from although I had such good education and grades in such less time duration.

So few days ago, various tech journalists and tech news websites reported about Box offering free 50GB online storage to its new users, and that is all for free for lifetime no charges no credit cards needed whatsoever.

I just signed up for Box.com and got my 50 GB free storage straightaway right after confirming my email address, here is the screenshot of my dashboard page

When I went on signing up straight away through Box website, it didn't work, they showed just 5 GB of free storage, however visited this sign up page and then sign up, you must get the 50 GB free storage.

No idea till how long will this work, but as of now its working as I have just signed up about 10 minutes ago and it completely worked for me as you can see in the screenshot above.

On the sign up page it shows that the link is for Dell users, however when you sign up there is no pre-requisite or any pre-check / pre-validation to ensure that you are a Dell user, so even if you are not a Dell user (I am a Mac user) it works, and you can still get 50 GB of free storage.

A teenager in USA is getting rewarded (not simply 'paid') by her father for deactivating her Facebook account.

Well, this wasn't just a verbal agreement between father and daughter, in fact it was a on-paper signed contract, signed by both the Father as well as the Daughter (Rachel).

Rachel says, that she plans to use money for "STUFF".

I really wish to see more and more parents / guardians getting their children to deactivate their facebook profile, or may be children themselves start asking their parents and I guess it would be a really difficult saying "NO" for parents, just in case if they wished to do so.

For me, personally, this is definitely a great thing to hear, there have been news about people taking break from facebook.com but hey! getting paid to not use facebook.com I would definitely love that.

These days people are realizing that facebook has become more of a waste of time then entertainment or productivity, hence people are anyways taking break from facebook at least that is what is reported in a recent article by Yahoo News.

In fact, I haven't logged into my facebook account on my computer for over a week now, and hardly visit facebook on my smartphone (generally only when there's a message or something..). The only thing that results in posts on my facebook wall is when I tweet something, the tweet automatically goes on to facebook wall.

Here's a quick tip if like me you are into bit of developing or doing HTML related stuff / web designing stuff or just generally like to do other things in your Firefox browser apart from using it to browse the Internet.

I have a limited bandwidth as a result of which I often want to work off the internet especially on Firefox as back-end processes such as automatic updates, syncing of user data, etc. keeps running the moment you start Firefox on your computer.

Here's the way how you can work offline on Firefox for Windows:

Simply click the Firefox button on the top left side of your Firefox Browser > Web Developer > Work Offline.

What you say about this feature of Firefox? Drop in comments below!

I am sure those who watch telly on a regular basis in India would have come across this amazing Coca Cola Ad that shows awesome ways of sharing happiness, or even more specifically "GIVING AWAY" happiness.

Well yes, good old saying stands true even today -- "happiness increases when shared with others" and even better if shared with strangers, those who are going through rough day while commuting to office, doing their routine job, being hassled by their boss, or just tired from a exhaustive and busy day etc. etc.

Check this Coca Cola Ad, I have never posted an ad in the past on my blog but I think this one is really great and too creative in itself, hence worth a share
