Facebook has today opened up a new gifts feature for all its US based users. Customers using Facebook.com in USA can send gifts for various occasions to their friends and relatives based in the USA and make payments straight through their credit cards.
The feature has launched just in time for the upcoming Christmas and New Year season and Facebook hopes to enhance its visibility as well as increase its scope of credit card payments from currently niche gaming arena to more diverse other public paying for gifts to their friends.

The gifts that you can send include digital as well as physical gifts which includes wide variety of Wines such as Amuse Bouche, Blackbird, Bonterra, Capture Wines, Clark-Claudon, David Family, Domaine Chandon, Goose Cross, Mondavi, Mutt Lynch, Recuerdo, Tasting Room, Terra Valentine,Titus, Twisted Oak, and Wine Country Gift Baskets
Wines do have a age restriction criteria for both, the recipient and the sender of the gift to be at least 21 years old. However, unsure, how facebook verifies the age, is it only based upon the date of birth entered on their Facebook Profile?
