Several thousands of users are reporting Google Services outage and the same had been confirmed by google and google has apologised for the inconvenience.
Many people showed their frustration on twitter and various other social networks, a search of "Gmail" on twitter blows out several twitterers complaining about gmail outage with some still continuing to face the outage.

Personally having tested Google mail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Play, Google ChromeSync as well as Google's mobile sync services such as Blackberry Sync all now seem to be working fine.
ChromeSync reports last sync time as "Just Now".
