Google has released the incident report summarising what exactly the issue was on Dec 10 2012 when tons of Gmail users across the globe faced partial outage issues with loads of errors such as "Server Error 502" and so on..
Although the report states that the issue duration was approximately 18 minutes, first from 8:54 to 9:00 AM and then from 9:04 to 9:16 AM PT, twitter users have complained for far long duration in various parts of the world concerning the partial outage, seems Google has been trying to minimise the amount of embarrassment to as low as possible without attracting much negative attention from the users.
