Activating Office Professional Plus 2013 - Trial Version

Well, this might sound a bit weird, but even the trial version of Office 2013 needs to be activated if you want to use it "uninterruptedly" for 60 days of trial duration.

Else, if not activated, you can only use it for about 5 days from the date of installation, at least that is what it showed to me when I ran an Office application for the first time after I installed Microsoft Office 2013.

So here are the steps on how to activate Microsoft Office 2013:

1. Download the Trial version of MS Office 2013, for download link, check THIS POST. While downloading trial version, you must have been given a product key on the same page where you clicked the DOWNLOAD button, keep that key safe, you are going to need it shortly.

2. Now install the Office 2013 trial version.

3. Once installed, now run any of the office applications, Word, Excel, Access, etc, as you run any of the office application, a pop up will show up somewhat similar to this one:

4. Now instead of entering your Windows / Hotmail id that you used while downloading the software, you need to click on "ENTER THE PRODUCT KEY INSTEAD" below the SIGN IN button

Once you click on this link, you will be prompted to enter your product key as below:

Once entered the product key, simply click on the "continue" button on the extreme below-right side of this window, the "continue" will actually turn to "install". In short just click on that button and you are all set to use your Office 2013 fully accessible features for 60 days, post which you will be required to buy a new product key or uninstall it and re install your old Office suite whichever you were using.
