Apple's Partial Fix for Maps

In a previous post, we mentioned of Apple Maps serious glitches and ho

Apple partially fixes its maps app, the map now shows correct location of Mildura, Australia. after Australian Police intervened and warned users of Apple Maps probable fatal results.

In a post by The Australian, maps are now showing correct location for Mildura for travellers coming from South Australia but not for those who are coming from Melbourne.

Mildura Police inspector, Simon Clemence, says, "If you're coming from Melbourne it still puts Mildura in the middle of the Murray Sunset National Park".

The matters are real serious and could soon get ugly for Apple if errors are not sorted out quick enough, the current location of Mildura for those coming from Melbourne is in a area called Murray Sunset National Park where there are no water / food supplies and temperatures could reach as high as 46 degrees.

Apple's CEO, Tim Cook had previously apologised for the error, and the quick response by Apple shows they are now taking the matter seriously.

We hope that the issue gets resolved real quick and meanwhile as suggested by Australian Police, users must avoid using Apple Maps unless a full update has been released by Apple, addressing all the issues
