Apple's new Firmware updates - Addressing Battery issue with Macbook / Macbook Pro / Macbook Air

If you are one of the thousands of Macbook users who has been facing issues with your Macbook battery lately, then this post could prove quite useful for you.

Apple, on Jan 30 2013, has released three firmware updates addressing the issue where a battery that has accumulated more than 1000 charge cycles may unexpectedly shut down or stop functioning.


The firmware updates, for MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are each under 1 MB and so on the slowest internet connection, users must not have tough time downloading these updates.

The updates could be downloaded using Apple's Check for Software Updates utility, which is now within the Mac App Store if you are using Mountain Lion like me.

Just click on Apple Logo on the top right side Apple icon and hit the "Check for Updates" tab.

The softwares can also be downloaded on other computers for later offline install from Apple Support Site.
